This workshop will make you sweat, so bring a towel!
Open to participants at all levels - though first time yogis with no background in other forms of athletic body training may find it a bit intimidating! This Vinyasa Flow Yoga workshop will focus on poses for which men tend to have a particular aptitude: Arm Balances and Inversions. In this workshop we will play to male strength and explore a variety of ways of bearing weight on the hands, and even on the head! If you've never done a headstand or an arm balance before, you certainly will by the end of this day! So bring your sense of humor, a willingness to sweat and fall over a few times, and a towel. We'll start out with a vigorous flowing vinyasa practice, and round the day off with some pose play with partners.

Jamie’s bio:
While practicing standing backbends during an Ashtanga practice in 1997, Shiva nearly knocked me over with a first blast of kundalini. I've been a devoted teacher and practitioner of yoga ever since. I am grateful to all of my teachers, and I enjoy all styles of yoga, but
my teaching tends to focus on accurate alignment within vigorous Vinyasa as a means to liberate the breath, prana, and ultimately kundalini, and more simply, as a tool to assist in the continuous learning of the capacity to simply pay attention. Attention heals. This practice is the love of my life, and sharing it is a great joy.
