Bike Trip with Rainbow Vikings
Wednesday July 29
If you’re in Copenhagen during the Outgames week this is your chance to join the Danish Gay Bikers Club, Rainbow Vikings, on a day trip out of Copenhagen. Read more about Rainbow Vikings.
We have arranged a trip on Wednesday July 29. We leave at 10.30 am. from the corner of Rådhuspladsen and Farvergade, in front of the Oscar Bar Café.
The trip is approx. 225 kilometres long and will take us to selected highlights of North Zealand. Through winding roads we’ll go to Frederikssund and pass the small bridge to the peninsula Hornsherred. From the harbour of Kulhuse we take the (very small) ferry Columbus to Sølager, a trip of 8 minutes! Read more about the ferry here.
We continue to the north coast of Zealand to the seaside of Kattegat and the two picturesque Seashore towns of Tisvildeleje and Gilleleje. In the latter we’ll have our lunch in the fishing harbour.
The last part of the trip will take us along the so-called Castle route, where we’ll pass the castle of Hamlet, Kronborg, the queen Margrethes summer castle Fredensborg and last but not least, the castle of Frederiksborg with its famous baroque gardens.
From there you can choose to continue on your own or go with the group back to Copenhagen. We will return at Rådhuspladsen around 17.00.
Please meet us with a full fuel tank. We’ll make stops on our way to fuel and have a snack and an ice cream.
