Players will be able to compete in one of two divisions:
A. Women's Division
B. Open Division, open to all male teams, mixed teams and all female teams.
The competitive level will be divided into the following categories:
A. Womens division:
Fast pitch - Women
Slow pitch - Women
B. Open Division:
Slow pitch - Mixed
The Open Division has four sub-divisions:
Division A
Division B
Division C
Division D
Participants may only register with one team which can only register in one category.
Category description:
• Fast pitch: The pitcher can do a full rotation of the arm. The hand must be below the hip and the wrist cannot be further from the body than the elbow when the ball is released.
• Slow pitch: The ball must be thrown underhand, at a moderate speed. The hand must be below the hip. The ball must follow an arc, between 1.83m and 3.66m from the ground (6 and 12 feet).
Tournament play
Each category will include a preliminary round robin format, in which teams play against others in their pool. The medal round will be a double elimination format. Teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of four games.
