Come and make a splash at the International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics diving championships at World Outgames 2009. We welcome all divers to compete for fun and medals in one, or all three, springboard events.

The 2009 IGLA Championship will be hosted together with the diving competition at the World Outgames 2009, in co-operation with IGLA and Copenhagen Mermates.

The diving championships are scheduled to take place from 27 – 30 July 2009. Competitors will be grouped according to gender and age classification.  Register now for your place in the line-up at the Copenhagen Aqua Arena.

Synchro Workshop on Sunday
- Guinness World Record Attempt

Irene Marcoux is heading the Synchro Workshop on Sunday afternoon where you can rehearse for the opening ceremony show - yes, you read that right. We are inviting you to be a part of the opening show, synchro swimmer or not. If more than 100 swimmers get in the pool there will be a Guinness World Record. The application is on its way to Guinness already. Please check out the instruction videos on youtube. Please also send an e-mail lars@mermates.dk to express your interest in the Guinness World Record attempt. With 52 synchro swimmers registered now we only need another 50-60 swimmers to break the record. Be part of it! Both in the pool and in the harbour later same week.

Grand Aquatics Buffet - IGLA AWARDS 2009

FRIDAY jULY 31 AT 19.30
The International Gay & Lesbian Aquatics Awards will be presented to the Best Small Team, Best Medium Team and Best Large Team competing in Copenhagen. During the evening, there will be a prize draw for a weekend for two in any Scandic hotel in the Nordic countries. Come and enjoy a delicious buffet with all your new aquatic friends before heading out into the Friday night festivities!
