OutCities Route

The OutCities Route runs through the very heart of Copenhagen, close to many of the city’s LGBT cafés, bars, and clubs. The OutCities route extends all the way from the leafy green of HC Oersted Park to Islands Brygge - right on the waterfront.

On the OutCities Route you’ll find everything your heart desires - be entertained, moved and surprised, meet new or old friends, share a drink or grab a bite to eat - and do a little shopping.

The OutCities Route includes:

  • The live OutCities stages for Melbourne at Vor Frue Plads (The Cathedral Square), Rio de Janeiro at Nytorv, Antwerp at Vor Frue Plads (the Cathedral Square) next to the cathedral, Mexico City at Nytorv, Denmark’s own Aarhus outside The Royal Library at Soren Kirkegaards Plads (Soren Kirkegaards Square) and Tel Aviv at Islands Brygge. Here you’ll find all the live stages and installations of the six World Outgames OutCities, presenting a broad variety of the world’s best LGBT arts and culture focussing on gender, identity and diversity. 
  • The World Outgames Women’s Space - the place to have fun, flirt and make friends with a whole week of events for women, by women and about women. So don’t miss Women’s Space on Frederiksholms Canal.

  • Pride Square, the market place on the OutCities Route produced in collaboration with Copenhagen Pride. Pride Square is located along the beautiful Frederiksholms Canal and at Christians Brygge in the heart of Copenhagen. Pride Square is where you’ll find information booths and sales stalls to satisfy your shopping gene and thirst for information.

  • Pride Square will also house the Copenhagen Pride Bar Pavilion. This will be located on the corner of Frederiksholms Kanal and Christians Brygge with an outdoor serving area. The Copenhagen Pride Bar Pavilion will be hosting bar nights, exclusive shows with local artists and interesting debates on hot topics all week.
