Amaranta Gómez Regalado is a Muxhe indigenous zapoteca (transgender) from Mexico, and she is the General Coordinator of the Binni Laanu (Our People) collective group, that works in favour of Sexual Health and Cultural Identities of Muxhes, Women, Men and Youth. She has played an important role as an activist in the fight against HIV/AIDS and in the promotion of sexual and reproductive health since 1995.
Amaranta Gómez Regalado is the founder and member of different community networks; furthermore she is the current International Secretary of Indigenous and Original Pueblos and Afro descendents on HIV/AIDS, Sexuality and Human rights.
