Linda Freimane
Linda Freimane is a Latvian HR activist, journalist and lawyer who was born in Stockholm by parents who came to Sweden as refugees from Latvia during World War II. She moved to Riga in 1997 to work with EU integration issues, where she met her partner, Danish artist Yvonne Gerner. In her professional career she participated in setting up the first pan-Baltic independent law school (Riga Graduate School of Law) and worked as a consultant on strategic communication matters to international and domestic businesses. In 2006 Linda was one of the founders of the LGBT and their friends’ association Mozaika and she was the main organizer of Riga Friendship days and pride in 2006 and 2007. Linda is currently serving her second term as board member of ILGA Europe.
