Unions in many countries have made significant progress on overcoming job-related discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity. But even in countries where policies are improving, there may still be huge practical gaps in achieving equal benefits for LGBT workers and their families in areas like vocational training, promotion, recruitment, leave, and/or health and social security.
This conference theme will focus on strengthening specific rights of LGBT people in the workplace.
