The ‘Love of Freedom – Freedom to Love’ conference is a follow-up to World Outgames 1st International Conference on LGBT Human Rights, which was held in Montreal in 2006. With attendance of some 1600 participants, it was the largest conference on LGBT rights ever held.

Keynote speakers at the conference included amongst others Martina Navratilova and UN High Commissioner Louise Arbour. The conference concluded with the issuance of the Declaration of Montreal, an extensive document on LGBT human rights that was submitted to the United Nations.
